Blogmas Day 9: Ten Anticipated 2022 Releases

Hello and welcome to day nine of blogmas! Can you believe it? Day nine?! We are closing in on the end! Today, I am sharing ten different books being released in 2022 that I am super excited for. New books are always exciting, and these are simply ten that are on my radar, that I am going to be reading ASAP.

When You Get the Chance by Emma Lord (January 4th)

I loved Emma Lord’s previous two books, so I am so looking forward to this joyful, theatre-filled book about Millie, a young girl chasing her Broadway dreams and searching for her mother.

Weather Girl by Rachel Lynn Solomon (January 11th)

I read and adored Solomon’s The Ex Talk last year, so I am super excited about her second adult romance. I have high hopes for this romance featuring two reporters and a Seattle setting!

Ophelia After All by Racquel Marie (February 8th)

This coming-of-age story about a young woman discovering her queer identity and coming into her own sounds so good! Plus, just look at that gorgeous cover.

One for All by Lillia Lainoff (March 8th)

This one is a gender-bent Three Musketeers retelling featuring chronic illness representation that I am so looking forward to.

Portrait of a Thief by Grace D. Li (April 5th)

This is the one book on this list that I have read already. I loved it so much, and I can’t wait to see it get all the praise it deserves! It’s a heist novel that’s also about repatriation and diaspora and culture.

Book Lovers by Emily Henry (May 3rd)

Obviously I’m excited for all of these, but this is definitely the book I am most excited for. Another Emily Henry enemies to lovers romance is exactly what I need in my life. I read the first chapter excerpt that was released, and I can already tell I’m going to love it.

I Kissed Shara Wheeler by Casey McQuiston (May 3rd)

Boy, is May 3rd going to be an eventful day for me! Obviously I couldn’t do this post without I Kissed Shara Wheeler. I am definitely excited to read Casey McQuiston’s YA debut about the runaway prom queen.

Yerba Buena by Nina LaCour (May 31st)

I think I have gushed about Nina LaCour enough on this blog for it to be clear that I love her books. Thus, I am very excited for her adult debut!

Flip the Script by Lyla Lee (Maya 31st)

Lyla Lee’s I’ll Be the One became a fast favorite of mine, so when I heard about Flip the Script I immediately added it to my to-read list. I cannot wait to dive into this young adult romance featuring fake dating and a bi protagonist!

Epically Earnest by Molly Horan (June 21st)

Look, The Importance of Being Earnest is already pretty gay, so I think this canonically queer version of the story fits so well. I am really excited to see what Molly Horan will do with the story.

    1. I hope you love it! I’ve hear a lot about daughter of the moon goddess, I’m just not usually a fantasy person so I haven’t added it to my tbr yet. I’m glad to hear you like it!
