Hello everyone! So two weeks ago I promised a 2022 wrap up, and I am finally here to actually deliver on that. I will go a little bit into the statistics of what I read, although if we are being honest I don’t keep detailed enough information to make it very precise. I will talk a little bit about what books won me over this year, although I again won’t go into too much detail because I already made a post on my favorite 2022 releases. Finally, I will round off with a wrap up of my blogging this year.

December Wrap-Up // final reads of the year!
Happy new year! I hope that however you celebrate, you had a great new year’s. I am planning on writing a full wrap-up of my 2022 reading year soon, but for now I wanted to write up a quick wrap-up for December. I had a pretty good reading month in December, especially after I finished the school semester!
I was kind of all over the place in terms of genre this month. I read mystery, fantasy, romance, litfic, and YA. Two books were re-reads, one of which was my annotated version of Beach Read. My favorites were The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna and the ARC I read of Imogen, Obviously by Becky Albertalli (which is published by HarperCollins, so this is your reminder to support the HarperCollins Union). Read my full list of books and ratings under the cut!

Hello, welcome back! This wrap up is going to be short and sweet because I am nearly two weeks late at this point, and would rather spend my limited blogging time writing other content. In the last 2.5 weeks I finished my internship, moved, visited my aunt, moved into the dorm, and started school. Then on top of that it’s getting over my jet lag, socializing and seeing all the people I haven’t seen for the last two months, and trying to unpack my room. Suffice it to say, I have been busy so there’s a reason there hasn’t been a post. Hopefully I will get back into my groove soon and have some things headed your way.
I did read a decent amount in August though, covering 9 books in total. My favorites were Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid and Kamila Knows Best by Farah Heron. The latter made me incredibly excited to pick up more books by Heron, as it was my first of hers that I’ve read, and I have heard really good things about Accidentally Engaged. I also reread The Night Circus, which is always a hit. My full list of books and ratings for the month are under the cut!

Hello hello! I don’t know about you all, but May was a very busy month for me. I finished school, took a short vacation, then moved and started a summer internship. I also got the chance to read many great books, especially during my short break time.
I read some absolutely amazing books this month, including some of my most anticipated releases of the year: Book Lovers by Emily Henry and Yerba Buena by Nina LaCour. I also re-read I Kissed Shara Wheeler, and got out of my comfort zone by reading 3 nonfiction books, one fantasy, and one sci-fi! Not all of these attempts were successful, but some of them were amazing, like Clint Smith’s How the Word is Passed. Overall, I would say it was a pretty solid reading month. As always, my full list of books is under the cut.

Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well. I am currently doing lots of school work preparing for finals, but I am optimistic because the end is in sight, and Spring is here! The sunshine and warm weather do wonders for my mood. Especially because they give me the chance to read outside.
I read less books this month than I would have liked, but I managed to stick to my tbr relatively well, and I read some great books! I read eight books total, and some of my favorites of the month were Ophelia After All by Racquel Marie, Black Cake by Charmain Wilkerson, and Fortune Favors the Dead by Stephen Spotswood. I purchased 3 new books this month, all of which were published in 2022! I don’t do a lot of book purchasing, so it was very fun to get my quarterly book unboxing and shiny new covers. I did read all 3 of those this month, to mixed results. Overall, it was a good reading month! Read more about the books I read and what I posted on the blog below!

February and March Reading Wrap-Up // A book slump and my spring break reading marathon
Hello hello! I am personally experiencing some lovely Spring weather today, so I am in a pretty good mood. All this Spring weather is good for me reading as well, apparently. I hit a bit of a book slump in February, so I ended up not posting a wrap-up last month. However, last week was my Spring break, where I ended up reading a total of 9 books in my 10 days of break.
I read a total of 6 books in February and 15 books in March. Despite the low book count, I did read some great books in February, including Seven Days in June and I Kissed Shara Wheeler. My favorite March read was Cultish: the Language of Fanaticism. I also went through a F/F romance phase and read How to Find a Princess and Home Field Advantage, neither of which are new favorites, but I would definitely recommend them. Given the book slump, I also 4 re-reads and 6 audiobooks over the last two months.

Happy end of January! I don’t know how it was for you all, but January just went by so slowly for me. I was so determined to post some reviews this month, and it just didn’t happen. However, I will hopefully be posting some romance related posts in honor of Valentine’s Day this month!
January is usually a pretty good reading month for me because I have most of the month off from school. I ended up reading 12 books, which isn’t that far off from my usual average, but HALF of those were literary fiction, and one of them was nonfiction. So in the end, I am pretty happy with it.
I read a lot of really good books this month. My favorites were When You Get the Chance, The Guncle, and Anxious People. But really, I liked every single book I read this month. Take a look under the cut for the list of all the books I read this month.
